Job Purpose and Impact

The VAT Coding Associate position will be a part of the VAT coding team, which provides compliance services to our business units in various countries. In this position you will communicate with business and tax personnel on issues arising with the VAT compliance of the AP documents according to our internal policies and countries legal requirement.

Key Accountabilities

• Check and review invoices for VAT coding compliance according to Cargill internal policy.

• Ensure all internal controls are in place and monitored according to Cargill policies.

• Daily communication with Tax personnel, Business units on questions arising within VAT coding issues.

• Participate in trainings and process improvement projects within Finance Operations Tax

• Ensure all internal controls, tax and financial processes are followed and performed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of related technology systems and processes

• Knowledge of tax calculations, tax accounting and tax compliance processes

• Knowledge of finance or other shared service operations

• Ability to apply the law to the concrete case.
