Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Planning and Reporting Analyst  performs financial planning and analysis activities that integrate planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting and analysis to create a deep understanding of business performance.

With minimal supervision, this job prepares financial reports, analyzes and reviews financial data and makes recommendations on budgeting andforecasting processes. This job also leads the continuous improvement of management information systems,reporting standards and business metric development to drive data informed business decisions.

Key Accountabilities

  • FINANCIAL PLANNING, REPORTING & ANALYSIS: Reviews and provides timely, accurate and consistent financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting and analysis for the assigned business group or function, translating financial metrics into relevant insights to help improve decision making, performance and business growth. 
  • MODELING & ANALYSIS: Partners to perform financial evaluation of new business development opportunities and develops ad hoc analysis and complex modeling including cost of services and associated trends, both financial and non-financial, to enable decision making and evaluate key performance indicators.
  • BUSINESS PERFORMANCE TRACKING: Develops reports and dashboards to track business performance against plans, budgets, forecasts and other key performance indicators.
  • DECISION SUPPORT: Reviews and communicates insights based on financial analysis and research to support strategic business decision making.
  • REPORTING & PRESENTATIONS: Performs complex financial reporting and presentations to improve the communication process of initiatives and results to business teams and other partners.
  • CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Leads implementing improvements related to data and technology to support standardization and simplification of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
  • MANAGEMENT REPORTING: Leads the implementation of effective management reporting practices to improveand ensure data integrity and relevancy.
  • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Cultivates and maintains close partnerships with business leaders and businessteams to understand local and regional business needs and collaborates with other finance leads to deliver on overall finance function expectations.
  • RISK & CONTROL REPORTING: Reviews various complex reports including risk and mitigation controls reports,custom transaction code reports and sensitive role reports for gap assessment and cleanup activities to identify and address any gaps, or inefficiencies in an organization's control environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Advanced data analytical skills for use of spreadsheets and business intelligence tools
  • Proven experience leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making
  • Fluent level of English
