This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Junior Trade Execution Coordinator, will ensure coordination on low to moderate complexity routine processes and tasks shipped on Ocean vessels. This role is responsible for applying thorough knowledge of trade execution practices and procedures such as international contract terms, import/export regulations, delivery and payment terms. This role will execute activities in the area of business partnership, compliance, shipment execution and documentation.

** Position is located in Bulgaria only; Varna or Sofia

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate issuance of commercial import and export documentation for ocean transportation shipments and liaise with Trading/Freight/Contract Desk/Counterparty Risk/Food Safety Quality and Regulatory Dept./Legal and Insurance Dept., sellers and buyers (Cargill or third-party customer) to ensure the timely, cost effective, and accurate execution of commodity contracts. Daily operations handled are mainly related to dry bulk and veg oils commodity flows through any kind of vessel. 
  • Prepare periodic reports related to trade compliance and assist with internal and external reporting and analysis. To supervise loading and discharging operations and timely/promptly involve relative parties in order to ensure flawless execution a/o reduce as much as possible potential issues.
  • Resolve issues, answer questions and send documents to routine internal and external contacts related to loading, unloading, insurance claims, contract requirements, rejected products, location and timing of the product and other questions or concerns. To negotiate appropriate documents (i.e. letter of credit) with buyer(s) or bank(s) in order to get paid or to pay relative counterparties in order to ensure no delays on payment and to reduce the financial exposure of Cargill International SA.
  • Maintain and foster established relationships with small accounts, customers, clients, suppliers and other business partner, by timely issuance of contractual notices/advises (charter advice, vessel’s nomination, vessel’s appropriation, force majeure) to concerning parties as per respective contractual terms and conditions.
  • Conduct standard analysis on risk exposure and process improvement and recommend next steps to more senior members of the team.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word), SharePoint

  • Team participation and team work
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing, deal with multiple tasks simultaneously
