Job Purpose and Impact

The specialist will be part of the chocolates and compounds R&D team and will handle product development and application of chocolate products duties for the organization. In this role, you will provide technical advice and support to Technical Services, Go To Market as well as customers. You will also be leading new product development projects from ideation to implement technical solutions against business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute new product development activities and application validation
  • Work with technical service partners to identify customer needs and translate these into new product development opportunities.
  • Develop, implement and test procedures needed to build products efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Execute coordination meeting with production prior to first production run to discuss the recipe, process and parameters
  • Conduct and organize all project plans, resources and take part in project execution
  • Ensure projects are achievable and align with procedural standards
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to reporting manager
  • Understand and comply with safety regulations and other procedural compliance regulations
  • Interpret and document results of all tests and communicates results verbally or in writing as required
  • Support customer industrialization and trouble shooting
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Intermediate computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with large projects extending over a period of time
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively as an individual and in a team environment
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results oriented with emotional intelligence, energetic, good influencing skills
  • Experience conducting work in a manufacturing environment
  • Willing to be based at Tuas
