Unloader Operator
The Process Operator I, will operate, perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting a series of machines and equipment with limited, readily definable process inputs to produce product following policies and procedures and frequent guidance. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory polices.

Compensation: $21.50/hr

Principal Accountabilities:
- Operate mobile powered equipment (i.e. forklift, skid loader, sit down floor sweeper, front end loader).
- Learn operating procedures, receive input from peers and may provide feedback on clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including procedure documentation to pursue continuous improvement of facility operation.
- Use hand and power tools to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues, escalating broader machine issues.
- Monitor equipment and control panels, process samples, execute basic machine adjustments as needed and utilize computer systems to input and record data, following policies and procedures.
- Set up and operate control systems for a series of machines and equipment requiring limited, readily definable variables.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures)
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
- Experience working in a production related work
- Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Inventory systems knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating the forklift
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with emphasis on Excel and Word
