Job Purpose and Impact

The Originator will provide origination support to drive continued business growth in the assigned geography. In this role, you will actively participate in exploring moderately complex commercial opportunities with the origination team and in maintaining existing relationships with key customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop new customer relationships and cultivate existing ones.
  • Develop new and innovative financial solutions, including negotiating moderately complex financing structure and terms with customers.
  • Collaborate with senior originators and relevant teams to ensure a thorough review and efficient approval process for implementing moderately complex trade and capital markets structured products.
  • Collaborate with business groups on moderately complex financing opportunities with their external counterparties.
  • Collaborate with functional and commercial teams to prospect market and industry research leading to profitable growth opportunities.
  • Independently perform moderately complex financial analysis.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Track record of having developed successful commercial relationships with clients.
  • Strong soft skills - good attention to details, self-driven, stress management, broad perspective.
  • Commercial sense and curiosity to the business.
  • Mandarin and English speaking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of market economics and relevant regulations.
  • Understanding of corporate and trade finance and credit risk.
