Job Purpose and Impact

Lead and engage the product development team in delivery of food safety compliance, high quality and superior products that meet customers’ need,  provides value  for money and delivery competitive advantages to key  customer.  Supports a core technology component area for the department/project team and supports the center of excellence in given implementation of business defined technology needs . Performs routine/procedural analytical work activities basis on business and technology needs.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for new product Development 

  • Communicate customer needs and lead  team (product ,raw meat , process team ) to launch product on time in full.
  • Contributes to the development of analytical modeling tools and methods. May apply fundamental scientific knowledge to design less complex/routine experiments , methods, modeling tools/systems and procedures to evaluate raw material properties, new and /or modified products/processes as well as final application functionality prior to trails.
  • Developing new product sample to meet customer requirement.
  • Apply project management skill to monitor team member tasks and take corrective action when needed in order to keep project on track.
  • Understand product launch / renewal objectives in the context of customer situations
  • Participate in cross-functional team to execute product development plan
  • Use effective communication to determine product launch needs and target specification with internal team ( qualitative and sensory )
  • Collaborate with ( raw meat , process, production , Food safety ,planning ,Q.A. ) to ensure master specification is realistic and sustainable
  • Manage suppliers to optimize ingredients and process including  packaging following Cargill policy and End User ‘s regulations
  • Product improvement through raw material ,ingredient and packaging and opportunities for cost reduction
  • Draws upon basic scientific knowledge to support technology innovation growth by partnering with businesses and with customers as well technology partners , to identify emerging trends and needs in a technology category

Proactive and Innovation Development 

  • Proactively seeking and developing basic business/customer understanding to support the identification of business opportunities.
  • Create Innovation projects for new products or services according to the market / customers requirements.
  • Manage working area and/ or  tooling effectiveness through daily operations and continuous capability improvement to support development

Talent Development

  • Conducts annual performance appraisals of supervisor and staff
  • Sets, monitors and evaluates Key Results Actions for staff
  • Conducts personnel development planning for self and staff  

Other

  • Subordinate with occupational safety, monitor that working environment is in compliance with the company safety and environment policy. 
  • Provide measurement and report on any product development  issues, opportunities, development plan and achievement.
  • Participate and contribute to any special assignment as assigned by management team
  • Understands , support and complies with the responsibilities outlined by the Corporate IP policies and procedures

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor and above in Science or related.
  • Good English communication skills (minimum TOIEC score 600).
  • Minimum 1 years experience in Food processing business.
  • Comfortable of using English as a primary language .
  • Computer literacy.
  • Result Oriented, Open Minded, Accountable and Prioritizing & Hard working.
  • Decision Making ability, Project execution ability, Problem solving ability.
  • Good interpersonal skill.
  • Able to work independence with limited supervisory with strong execution capacity.
  • People management skill.
  • Conflict Management, Team motivation, Team engagement.
  • May be required to work outside of normal business hours and during weekend.
  • Occasionally traveling oversea.
