Assistant Sales Manager
Job Purpose and Impact
The Business Development Supervisor will oversee and provide direction to a team to ensure sales and revenue increase for moderately complex new and existing market segments and channels. In this role, you will develop a strategic plan, supervise the team on the business expansion strategies and make a contribution to the companys annual business development plans to reach objectives and revenue.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee the team that collaborates with account managers to evaluate moderately complex business requirements and market needs.
- Provide direction to the team on new market segments and opportunities for future business development and growth, return and investment calculations.
- Monitor and interpret moderately complex market development activities to align with company business goals.
- Provide input and guide the team on prioritization of market segment development activities and set revenue targets.
- Develop strategic business plan and share valuable insights to the respective stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 1 year relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of supervisory experience
