The Quality Control Technician I, conducts analysis of materials and products using defined procedures and specifications to ensure results are aligned with specifications with regular guidance. In this role, you will test and conduct analysis of raw materials, materials in process and finished product to ensure products are in line with predetermined specifications.

Job Type: Full Time

Shift(s) Available: overnight

Compensation: $22.00/hr and up tp $25.00/hr depending on experience

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Collect, measure and weigh samples of materials of specific products based of defined procedures and specifications
  • Test and conduct analysis of raw materials, in process or finished product using defined procedures and specifications
  • Complete documentation and maintain records testing results with regular guidance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area through knowledge and practice of safe and efficient food and safety practices
  • Accurately perform and record monitoring activities, process verifications, and audits throughout the facility including raw material audits, documenting deviations and/or recording corrective actions taken
  • Monitoring and enforcing all plant specific and corporate food safety programs
  • Prepare samples and perform product and/or material testing
  • Perform environmental swabbing
  • Performing pre-operational inspections and along with performing quality monitoring of product and processes
  • Documenting and maintaining record keeping utilizing a computer as necessary
  • Auditing supplies to maintain inventory and designing and implementing new procedures and/or techniques
  • Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
  • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic use of a computer
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice    

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a production related work
  • Experience in Quality Assurance or Food Manufacturing
  • Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklift
  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
