Job Purpose and Impact

The Tax Associate will perform a variety of support tasks in one of the accounting departments. In this role, you will support the accounting team of the company and conduct tasks using standard procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and other tax fillings or records, including detailed financial business transactions.
  • Provide customer service to internal clients, suppliers and customers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of our records information management policies and best practices.
  • Enter data or use technology tools to upload data into the computer system using defined computer programs.
  • Compile data and prepare, review, and audit a variety of reports.
  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum
  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in tax knowledge
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting/finance operation
  • Basic - Intermediate English level
Preferred
  • Advanced student or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Administration, finance or related
  • Knowledge in SAP and JDE
  • Intermediate - Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Experience working in shared service centers
  • Experience with Latham taxes (Plus)
