Job Purpose and Impact

The Grain Marketing Associate will support the delivery of our grain advisory services program to farm clients. In this role, you will develop an understanding of business acumen, financials, and grain marketing solutions, to customize outcomes based on the client’s needs.

Key Accountabilities

• Participate in a development program to prepare you to become a successful commodity Grain Marketing Advisor where you will be providing a consultative service with farm customers.
• Help support the grain advisory services team with the development and delivery of grain market information, proposals and presentations.
• Help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
• Build, develop and maintain internal and external customer relationships.
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Possess a valid Canadian drivers licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employment.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly and make decisions in a conclusive manner
• Demonstrated sales skills and aptitude
• Understanding of Canadian agriculture market
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Comprehension of grain marketing
• Three years of customer service experience
  

Position Information

• Travel is required to cover the area of responsibility. (Up to 50% travel is requested).
• Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position within Canada.
