Job Purpose and Impact
The purpose of this position is to operate semi automated production machinery and in an organised and efficient manner. The role also involves accurately completing production records and ensuring effective communication with production staff, truck drivers, and supervisors.
This role includes operating equipment associated with the oil loadout process and providing holiday relief for the oil loadout.
Key Accountabilities
Daily safe and efficient running of all packaging production lines consisting of:
- Operate packaging production machinery
- Forklift (reach truck) operation – transferring stock and loading trucks.
- Preparation of oil blends and additive mixtures requested.
- Control load/unload of bulk oils.
- Completion in full accurate production records.
- Minimize waste as part of normal production.
- Maintain housekeeping and GMP standards.
- Complete Monthly product stock takes.
- Participate in process improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and internal site.
- Participate proactively in Health and safety training and initiatives
- LOTO equipment as per the Cargill LOTO procedure
- Any other tasks as required and within the capability of the individual.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Must have sound troubleshooting skills.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must have very good time management skills.
Must be able to prioritise tasks and follow up skills.
Must be willing to accept accountability.
Must be computer literate including being able to enter and retrieve data accurately.
Must have demonstrated high performance (work performance, attendance record, safety record).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SAP or similar ERP system.
