This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Performance Enablement Director will plan and coordinate all activities to execute the strategic implementation and maturity of production excellence processes, including continuous improvement portfolio initiatives and management systems with a focus on driving operational performance and value capture across manufacturing plants. In this role, you will manage a team in charge of key operational metrics, related practices, priorities and technologies and lead relevant projects in line with the defined strategy and goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Organize and maintain the deployment of production excellence processes within facilities to ensure successful and sustained process deployments and drive the improvement of key production excellence metrics to ensure successful and sustained outcomes.
  • Maintain ongoing business relationships for production excellence process improvement and ensure consistent process standards across the organization to drive the use of data and analytics to increase operational intelligence to drive sustainable production efficiency.
  • Execute operational and strategic plans throughout the assigned plants and lead the deployment of value capture, portfolio and continuous improvement tools.
  • Prioritize, support and deploy leading practices and ensure proper implementation to drive process confirmation efforts including updates to communications on objectives, performance measures, issues and risks and align leading practice implementation to drive mature value creation processes.
  • Establish, implement and assess program effectiveness and overall business impact and track the performance to established goals and promote the long term sustainability of process improvement and methodologies and assist key leaders with interpreting data and metrics.
  • Prepare, administer and control the implementation of smart manufacturing and digital solutions in the production space and partner collaboratively with essential stakeholders to ensure alignment of tools and processes.
  • Foster a culture that designs, builds, operates and maintains plants that are operationally sound, safe and efficient by leveraging and championing leading operational practices and raises performance by monitoring key performance indicators of safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Black belt certification
  • Lean six sigma
  • Operational excellence knowledge
  • Project portfolio and governance skills from identifying and aligning value drivers to govern a portfolio
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and database applications and modeling tools
  • Experience with management system and technical gap assessments and solution identification
  • Three years of supervisory experience
