Aircraft Maintenance Technician II
The Aircraft Crew Chief Technician will be responsible for the comprehensive ownership and management of a corporate aircraft, including performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the aircraft, hangar facilities, and equipment assets in compliance with governmental regulations. Responsibilities include managing routine inspections, complex repairs, and ensuring adherence to all aviation safety standards and regulations. In this role, you will perform and manage moderately complex inspections, maintenance, repairs, and compliance with all regulations and aviation safety standards on aircrafts to ensure operational readiness and safety of aircraft. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Maintenance and other team members to complete maintenance tasks promptly, propose short and long-term work plans for the assigned asset, and manage the corresponding budget. As the subject matter expert for the assigned aircraft, you will also provide passenger support at the hangar and during travel.

Principal Accountabilities
- Conduct inspections, troubleshoot, and repair all company aircraft, facilities and support equipment referencing acceptable data, including engines, electrical systems, and avionics, to ensure the reliability and operation of the organization's aircraft
- Manage a specific asset; to include annual budget planning, maintenance outlook planning, oversight of aircraft during off-sight maintenance visits, and recordkeeping / upkeep of aircraft documents and manuals during company’s ownership of aircraft
- Perform / assist on aircraft post flight inspection, servicing and cleaning, aircraft towing, taxiing, refuelling, anti-icing, launch and recovery, baggage and passenger assistance, and return aircraft to service, and adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, prioritizing the well-being of self and others to ensure the safety of the maintenance crew and compliance of aircraft
- Provide technical direction and safety evaluation to crew members during offsite breakdowns, which may result in delays and/or repair coordination involving high costs, with limited supervision
- Can communicate confidently, professionally, and effectively with peers and top management alike and document and review all maintenance activities to maintain a comprehensive maintenance record to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform duties as Flight Technician and Flight Attendant when needed during both domestic and international business travel on all Cargill aircraft types. This involves good interpersonal skills when dealing with flight crew and passengers during long overnight flights, as well as a high knowledge and confidence in self-assessing issues during a trip while keeping safety as the top priority
- Handle complex administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff
- Other duties as assigned
What You Will Need
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 60lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Highschool diploma/GED is required
- 3+ years Corporate Aircraft Maintenance experience
- Current FAA Airframe/Powerplant Certificate from verified appropriate training schools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an MSP Airport security badge
- Ability to travel 20% of the calendar year
What Will Put You Ahead
- Two- or Four-year college degree in aviation maintenance management or similar
- Master Mechanic certificate type specific to company aircraft
- Training certification in Avionics, Cabin Communications, or Information Technology experience
- Experience with CAMP Systems / Gulfstream .CMP maintenance tracking systems
