Job Purpose and Impact

The Site Manager will manage operations at origination site, seeking operational excellence for 5 fundamentals (risk management, plant efficiency, talent pool management, maintenance & reliability, capital management). They will ensure accomplishment on operational procedures, best practices and people development, optimizing established metrics; improve plant high performance (cost, quality, safety) and improvements to attend/align commercial expectations and the business plan.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing customer relations both external and internal (HR, IT, Accounting, logistics) & origination site operational employees (casuals, contractors, labour service provider employees).
  • Systems Management (Lucidity (asset and training), IMS , GCS – operational & waste & the sites PNL.
  • Manage the presentation of the site (Non Operational Area) which includes managing contractors and setting expectations for priority Operational Areas.
  • Manage the operation of maintenance & reliability management, in order to attend commercial-logistic volume expectations, optimizing plant equipment capacities and availability by proactive maintenance program with reliability culture in place.
  • Manage and ownership of all site operations (receivals & outturn) and risk management - safety standards worldwide EHS policy alignment (safety indexes including health  and environmental issues), security policy (inventory standards and employee-contractors labor regulation) and ensuring FSQR policies and guidelines are met at all times.
  • Manage the following at site level; talent management, including operational training programs, engagement improvement, performance management, individual development plans for direct employees and succession plan management.
  • Work with other site managers to ensure continuous improvements are made to the site and align with the business plan & projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Secondary School Education
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Reliability and Quality Culture experience
  • Ability to take and follow direction
  • Ability to supervise employees and administer operational training on Standard Operating Procedures (WI)
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to accept new or changing work demands
  • MDL (technical deep knowledge on grain quality-handling and projects management)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Front end loader license
  • Fumigation certificate
  • First Aid certificate (Min level 2)
  • Confined Space certificate
  • Appropriate Occupational Health & Safety training
  • Electrical safety awareness
