This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.



Job Type: Full time

Shift(s) Available: 2nd shift

Compensation: $26.93/hr

Sign-on bonus: $1,500

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including use of PPE, area inspections, hazard recognition, and pre-operational equipment inspections.

  • Address or report hazards found, report deficiencies found with equipment, input work requests into SAP

  • Perform tasks in the mining cycle, to facilitate the safe and efficient mining of salt.

  • Perform any task assigned by Production Supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa, or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility

  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)

  • High school degree or GED Equivalent

  • Must be able and willing to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: working underground (up to 1800 feet), which involves bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment

  • Able to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, and different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in production related work

  • Basic Computer skills
