Cargill, Inc. seeks Reliability Engineer in Lake Odessa, MI.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for applying technical knowledge to deliver continuous improvement in process and asset reliability for protein business located in Lake Odessa, Michigan. 

Specific duties include:

  • (1) detecting and eliminating defects;
  • (2) partnering with team to ensure fulfillment of reliability engineering strategies;
  • (3) implementing reliability excellence activities by identifying and prioritizing reliability engineering value creation activities;
  • (4) executing development, design, and installation of predictive maintenance program and technology that align with area procedures;
  • (5) providing collaboration and guidance on maintenance repairs and production in reliability related processes and identification of critical spares;
  • (6) preparing technical reviews of projects and collaborating with related areas on new equipment reliability specifications; and
  • (7) identifying and eliminating defective equipment and optimizing equipment availability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related discipline;
  • two years of reliability engineering experience, including monitoring and investigating machine equipment failures;
  • knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies; and
  • demonstrated proficiency with airborne ultrasound, root cause analysis, vibration analysis, and lubrication technology.
