Job Purpose and Impact

The Key Account Manager Retail will focus on medium to long term planning and face to face selling. In this role, you will help sell a variety of complex company products and solutions across multiple lines of business for an assigned group of large French retailers and distributors and participate in building sales plans and diversification strategies to grow and protect the relationship with a defined group of customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Help identify and lead interactions with assigned group of French retailers and distributors to resolve sales opportunities.
  • Participate in resolving problems and ensuring customers receive high quality service.
  • With minimal mentorship, develop client retention and growth plans (quantitative and qualitative objectives) and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts.
  • Review and report on customer retention, business opportunities and market trends.•    Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience.
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in economics, business administration or other related sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales/KAM position.
  • Successful experience in managing commercial relationship with French retailers within a large group.
  • Experience with large French retail distributors is a strong asset.
  • Poultry/Meat experience is a plus.
  • Very good knowledge of the French retail market.
  • Good communication skills, Team player.
  • Self-motivated and independent with a high stress resilience and a great sense of organization.
  • Entrepreneurship/Growth mindset, great sense of organization.
  • Fluent in French and good level in English.
  • Other languages such as Dutch or German is a plus.
