Job Purpose and Impact

The Trade Compliance Excellence Analyst II will use substantial trade compliance knowledge for a country or across multiple countries to ensure compliance of moderate to complex cross border trade activities, classification and origin determinations. In this role, you will classify moderately complex regulatory data, ensure compliance for country and foreign government regulations related to the international movement of goods and execute the controls established by the appropriate functional areas.

Key Accountabilities

  • Compile, report, analyze, execute and monitor operational controls for continuous improvement to align with risk control framework and the center of expertise to ensure compliance.
  • Act as subject matter authority for moderately complex trade compliance with support from senior team members to inform colleagues of changing government regulations and practices, including identifying and solving issues in coordination with proper resources and assess internal escalation needs.
  • Perform moderately complex customs related information gathering and analysis by applying a general understanding of classification, trade agreement and cross border trade compliance.
  • Develop, implement and maintain all export and import compliance plans, standard operating procedures, guidelines, tools and other related documentation in response to changing government regulations.
  • Conduct trade compliance trainings and pre and post transactional trade data and documentation reviews for activities handled by the team to ensure compliance, data integrity, adherence to processes and control effectiveness.
  • Use technical customs knowledge to assign classification codes and country of origin, review customs data including customs valuation and provide insights to the business and operational and functional stakeholders.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Technical knowledge of classification, customs valuation and origin determination
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
