Job Purpose and Impact

The Shift Supervisor Packaging will provide strategic operational oversight of the operating facility of moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold operating facility accountable to standards for (food)safety, quality, operational effectiveness performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute routine operations of ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee, food and feed safety and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.
  • Partner with other Shift supervisors to meet customer specifications and timeline.
  • Monitors routine operations for all production processes of the operating facility
  • Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports (shift members), including coaching company core values and guiding principles for the Izegem facility
  • Support in troubleshooting of the production processes (see below technical knowledge)
  • Validation and reporting of the production losses – leading integrated daily execution meeting (IDEX)
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Working in 4 shifts: 6-14h / 14-22h / 22-6h / reserve week (!! Night shift)
  • Flexibility – stress resistant

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experienced Secondary school degree /Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the plant
  • Good knowledge Dutch – basic knowledge English

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in production management
  • Experience in packaging environment (experienced technical knowledge is preferred)
  • IT capabilities with latest hardware/tools (basic knowledge)
