Shift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Compensation: $22.52/hr

Principal accountabilities:

  • Produce dry salt from brine by operating the evaporator and drying equipment
  • Operate and maintain the boiler
  • Operate and maintain screeners, elevators, and salt processing equipment, providing product to packaging
  • Understand and advocate safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Operate forklift
  • Other duties as assigned


Required qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-part employer
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Ability to work overtime, different shifts, weekends and holidays with advance notice
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.
  • Must be able to operate machinery
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in production related work
  • Forklift experience
  • Mechanical background
  • Prior experience with inventory systems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Software with an emphasis on Excel and Word
