This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Project Engineer Senior Supervisor will use general business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and the schedule of technical projects.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with the interpersonal skills to organize our project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project timelines, and address resource needs. In this role, you will oversee engineering work in operational, production, construction, or deconstruction environments.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and gather the necessary resources for projects.
  • Help resolve operational issues and prevent implementation delays.
  • Monitor progress and performance to achieve the project’s business plan objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the project meets technical quality, reliability, scheduling, and cost requirements. Assist in coordinating project planning, resources, staffing, progress reporting, personnel management, and troubleshooting for engineering projects.
  • Manage a team and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, and disciplinary actions. Collaborate with central engineering teams to develop the medium- and long-term project portfolio.
  • Perform other assigned duties or temporary projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management.
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply (ERP management (SAP), Finance, project planning tools, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in supervising project teams or maintenance teams.
