This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Wastewater Technician will be responsible for wastewater treatment plant operations and environmental compliance. In this role, you will apply analytical analysis and mechanical aptitude to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and ensure that wastewater is processed efficiently and effectively.

Key Accountabilities

  • Runs wastewater treatment plant to ensure stable plant operations.
  • Handles daily testing and analysis.
  • Review and improve processes to manage administrative tasks.
  • Enters environmental data into pre existing systems.
  • Promote the company's safety culture.
  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Front line maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree or higher in science, technology, engineering or math.
  • Minimum of one year of industrial or two years of wastewater treatment experience.
