This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 


Job Purpose 

In this role, you are jointly responsible for ensuring that the production process runs smoothly from a technical perspective and for ensuring that all safety-related requirements are met.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Ensuring the trouble-free use of the mechanical systems in the production process
  • Maintenance and repair of automated production systems and control technology
  • Independent execution of electrical and mechanical work
  • Compliance with all regulations regarding safety, environmental protection and health
  • Implementation of the requirements for preventive maintenance, as well as their documentation
  • Maintenance and functional testing of safety devices in accordance with the maintenance plan
  • Early detection of technical risk potentials
  • Joint responsibility for all work relating to approval procedures (permit system)
  • Support, supervision and monitoring of external technicians
  • Participation in the continuous improvement process
  • Technical advice and support for investment and conversion projects
  • Support of company initiatives and activities relating to occupational safety (e.g. zero harm)
  • Participation in the updating of SOPs, OPLs and operating instructions
  • Compliance with general and specific HACCP and hygiene requirements
  • Support with certification and auditing

Minimum Qualification:

  • Successfully completed training as an industrial electrician or mechatronics engineer 
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Strong communication skills and very good social skills
  • Very good knowledge of German and basic knowledge of English

  • Independent, goal-oriented, efficient and secure way of working
  • High degree of flexibility, resilience and commitment
  • High degree of commitment, team spirit and sense of responsibility
  • Confident use of PC and MS Office
  • Willingness to undertake continuous further training and education
