This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Commodity Trading Analyst will conduct highly complex trading analytics efforts. In this role, you will provide analysis of biofuel and feedstock markets and other economic considerations, development and deployment of highly complex models, tools, and processes to influence the team to make strategic trading, risk management, margin enhancement and asset utilization decisions.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain supply and demand for low carbon intensity feedstock and biofuels, at EU and at global level.
- Regular follow up on biodiesel market in EMEA in relation to feedstock and to create scenarios basis change in policies and the impact.
- Forecast the long-term outlook along with complexity in biofuel world and the possible challenges to global trends.
- Lead the development, enhancement of demand models basis current prices, spreads, and relative value.
- Provide timely, accurate and actionable insights to trading team and key customers to drive strategic decision making.
- Demonstrate the ownership to establish communication amongst analysts and trading team, market, and benchmark analytics.
- Develop, coordinate and support initiatives for technology and data for trading data analytics in conjunction with stakeholders.
- Provide thought leadership for new data, technology, tools, and innovation and establish processes to efficiently gather relevant data.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the biofuels, Vegoils or waste Feedstock market
- Knowledge of trading business, demand analytics and an understanding of what information adds value
- Ability to influence global teams to build consensus around trading strategy
- Ability to quickly take disparate information and derive actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and execute under tight timelines
- Experience with commodity supply and demand fundamentals and economics
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience with complex modeling, coding, data science and big data management
