Job Purpose and Impact

To perform the tasks of Production Relief Operator, to operate and maintain the seed processing facility in a safe, efficient and result oriented manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Site Operations and Relief
    Operate and maintain the preparation, extraction and weighbridge facility in a safe, efficient and result oriented manner.

  • Housekeeping
    Adhere to all necessary housekeeping practices required to maintain the facilities hygienic condition

  • Maintenance
    Perform minor maintenance repair and/or project based work whilst on site in order to ensure peak operational performance of the production facility.

  • Safety Management
    Adheres to work and safety instruction by taking an active role in contributing to building a safety culture and clearly demonstrates the ability to find and implement solutions that reduce the footprint of self and the workgroup on the environment.

  • Team
    A genuine effort to work co-operatively within the company, taking personal accountability for creating and supporting a team environment and showing a genuine respect for individuals within the team in order to encourage an environment of mutual trust.

  • Food Safety & Quality Management
    Contribute to the development of a food safety culture and adheres to processes and procedures, and directions in relation to food safety and quality management.

  • Administration & Reporting
    Reporting information regarding subsequent work required, preventative maintenance issues and completion of Work Order documentation.

Qualifications

To be successful you will require:

  • At minimum should have completed Year 11 High school

  • Fluency in English language

  • Hold forklift and elevated work platform Operator certificate of competency or obtain one within 3 months of the appointment

  • Experience in industrial chemical handling and manufacturing process experience would be highly desired

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Possession of a recognized metal trade will be a distinct advantage

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive

  • Contribute in a team environment through developing positive working relationships that are based on trust and integrity
