Job Purpose and Impact

The Key Account Manager – Integrators will mainly focus on developing and expanding Cargill’s business with integrators and large poultry/swine producers in Italy. This role is commercially driven, requiring a strong capacity to develop profitable relationships, negotiate long-term partnerships, and grow the additives and specialties portfolio (enzymes, postbiotics, mycotoxin binders, phytogenic, and performance enhancers).

The KAM will work closely with the Italian commercial organization and the EMEA teams to align strategies, secure execution, and strengthen our leadership in the monogastric market.

Location: Bologna area (preferred) or Northern/Central Italy

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and manage strategic customer relationships with major integrators, ensuring profitable growth and long-term satisfaction.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities through prospection and expansion into new accounts, develop strategic account plans and lead commercial negotiations to achieve sales, margin, and share-of-wallet targets.
  • Deliver value-based solutions that link product benefits to customer outcomes and performance.
  • Collaborate with the feed manufacturer KAM to ensure full market coverage and avoid overlap.
  • Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance, and technical support teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts and customer satisfaction.
  • Work in alignment with all stakeholders to secure product availability and pricing.
  • Participate in developing and implementing growth plans, ensuring internal communication and consistency across teams.
  • Monitor customer retention, competitor activities, and market trends and report on account performance and pipeline using CRM
  • Contribute to strategic discussions by providing insights from the field and feedback on market evolution.
  • Proactively address customer concerns, ensuring high-quality service and quick issue resolution.
  • Act as the main point of contact for integrators, ensuring reliable information flow between customers and internal teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Travel: up to 70% across Italy (with some nights out); occasional trips to France.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary, Agribusiness, or related field.
  • At least 4 years B2B sales experience in similar roles (feed additives).
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and proven ability to manage key accounts.
  • Technical understanding of poultry and swine nutrition (monogastrics).
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and build trust at multiple organizational levels.
  • Fluent Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and occasionally abroad.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Animal Science or Veterinary.
  • Experience in selling additives or nutritional solutions to integrators or feed manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with matrix organizations and multi-site coordination.
  • Experience working in international environments and with cross-functional teams.
  • Competence with CRM tools, Excel, and Power BI.
