This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.


Job Purpose and Impact

The Work Comp Clerk will work closely with Work Comp Coordinator and Case Manager to assist in the care of work comp related cases. In this role, you will provide assistance to employees to ensure compliance to applicable regulations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Meet with all Work Comp employees to begin investigations.
  • Process medical release requests following well defined procedures.
  • Create medical record for employees following well defined procedures.
  • Maintain files, ensuring items are cataloged correctly for electronic and paper files, which will include data entry.
  • Conduct inventory of supplies using establish procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, transportation and translation.
  • Update logs and perform general record keeping, using established procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Working experience in clerical medical field
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
  • Ability to process high volume dictations
  • Bilingual English-Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word.
