Job Purpose and Impact

The Refrigeration Maintenance Supervisor (First Shift) will supervise a team which operates an industrial ammonia refrigeration system, steam boiler system, and various other utilities.   You will also execute a variety of medium complex activities in alignment with production needs to maintain and repair this equipment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the execution of asset integrity and operator training involved with a high hazard process.  Work closely with PSM.

  • Implement methodologies to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with regulatory codes and standards.

  • Assist with leading contractor projects including budgeting and managing safety process during project implementation.

  • Responsible for managing maintenance and repair projects for your team including parts ordering, budgeting, and implementation.

  • You will have some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and much of your time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • One year of directly related work experience in Maintenance or Ammonia Refrigeration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration, PSM, and Steam Boilers

  • Experience coordinating third party resources to deliver business results

  • One year of supervisory experience
