This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Account Manager - Personal Care - Southeast US(Open to Remote) will help sell a portfolio of the company's technical (Cargill Beauty/Personal Care) and nontechnical products (commodities such as Citric Acid and Glycerin products.), services, and solutions directly to current and new customers. In this role, you will provide thought leadership to a sales team through a thorough understanding of business, financials, products and services, the market and the needs and challenges of assigned accounts.

This is a home‑office-based role. Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, one of the following states: Florida, Georgia or Texas. In addition, candidates must live within close proximity to a major airport to support travel requirements. This position requires up to 50% travel within US and Mexico.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and build product relationships with territory accounts and distributor field representatives. 
  • Inform customers of our new products, services, and prices.
  • With guidance, create, monitor, and maintain lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities.
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.
  • Monitor and respond to customer concerns and problems.
  • Arrange and provide for shipment and product demonstrations.
  • Handle a variety of moderately complex problems, referring to policies and practices for guidance.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience in sales for chemical or personal care products
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international)
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in formulation science
  • More than five years of solution-selling experience in the personal care industry
  • Strategic account management expertise
  • Strong customer follow-up and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $60,000 to $130,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
