This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Formulation Nutritionist II will provide review and development of formulations for current and future products. In this role, you will collaborate with project teams to create new products from conceptualization to commercialization, support the evolution and improvement of nutritional quality, flavor and texture of company products. You will oversee the introduction of the nutrition system to customers and guide them through the partial or complete implementation of the system.
Key Accountabilities
- Train new staff in formulation.
- Advise internal and external partners and become the go to person for ingredient know how and nutrient evaluation related questions.
- Communicate any opportunities for cost savings in the product portfolio, projects related to ingredient, nutrient and production know how.
- Implement and evaluate opportunities for purchasing new raw materials.
- Implement new technologies for key customers.
- Optimize nutritional requests, crafting the best offer from a nutritional and commercial perspective.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Customer-focused attitude
- Computer literate, proficiency in Excel and formulation software
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nutritional knowledge combined with formulation experience
