This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.

Compensation: $27.41/hr; plus shift differential

Principal accountabilities:
- Responsible for operating all packaging lines while following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety and quality policies and procedures
- Assists Lead by assures all machinery is functioning correctly, including inspection of all Quality Control focus areas, materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process
- Responsible for creating, issuing, and completing quality documentation, line checks, and production paperwork and record any required information into SAP/MII
- Ensures the hold area is being maintained appropriately
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma /GED equivalent or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
- Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts
- Experience in production related work
