Compensation: $24.40–$30.91/hr
The Maintenance Mechanic II will perform maintenance and troubleshooting on production or warehouse machinery, generally involving multiple trades, with regular guidance. In this role, you will use maintenance and reliability practices to carry out preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance to ensure assets are maintained for optimal facility efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities
- Apply maintenance and reliability practices with some guidance to ensure all assets remain in good condition while extending equipment life
- Perform preventive, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility with limited supervision
- Utilize knowledge and ability to use one or two standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, precision maintenance tools, and preventive maintenance technology tools
- Demonstrate experience in one or two trades and maintenance components (e.g., electrical, welding, piping, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
- Modify electrical or mechanical diagrams, plans, and user manuals with some direction or instruction
- Document completed work and conditions encountered using computerized maintenance software and regularly interact with peers and management to drive continuous improvement in facility operations
- Operate forklifts and scissor lifts following standard production documentation to deliver to the correct location
- Perform other assigned tasks
Minimum Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- 18 years or older
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: bending, squatting, climbing ladders, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, standing for long periods
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work at heights
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of food industry standards (HACCP)
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness, initiative, and dynamismAbility to work in a team
- Familiar with labeling equipment (Bizerba)
- Familiar with packaging equipment (Omori, Ulma)
- Good communication skills
- Safety-oriented mindset and behavior
