Sign On Bonus: $1000

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • 50% of time performing the same work as persons supervised
  • Manage and promote safety, food safety, quality processes, and housekeeping
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employees and contractors and provide continuous training for existing employees through daily shift exchange meetings and safety trainings
  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment at site, including but not limited to bagging machines, shipping computers, and motorized vehicles
  • Be the point person for management initiatives, work orders, and communication

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production related work 
  • Must be able to perform physical job duties such as bending, lifting products and tools up to 50 lbs, stooping, shoveling, sweeping, pounding with hammers, climbing, opening and closing valves, and extended driving/riding/maneuvering of forklifts with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, salt, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Able to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
  • Able to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED or a minimum of two years of experience in production-related work.
  • Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain a driver's license.
  • Must have a forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer operation skills to perform data entry for label production and monitoring of inventory and shipment completion; warehouse/shipping software, SAP software, or inventory management software.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (e.g., packaging machinery).
  • Actively demonstrate safety leadership.
