Accountabilities
- Receives and unloads incoming raw (acids, bases, and oils) materials, packaging and supplies
- Drums/packages out finished product
- Loads and unloads railcar quantities of products
- Oversees the railcar movements done by the short line R/R on site
- Prepares chemical samples for shipment
- Operates forklift and electric pallet jack
- Performs fuel handling and transport; handles gas cylinders
- Inspects tank wagons and tank cars
- Monitors tank levels and gauges
- Performs filter press cleaning for operations
- Provides daily support to operations by supplying bagged dry goods, and drummed raw materials
- Performs product transfers from operations area to storage tanks to keep production running
- Acquire required boiler license(s) as soon as applicable
- Conducts boiler water analysis and boiler spot checks as required
- Acquire general operating knowledge of the Blooming Prairie plant boiler
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
- High School diploma
- Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing; chemical plant experience preferred
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
- Experience working in a production related work.
