Job Purpose and Impact
Responsible for assistance with programming, testing and troubleshooting of plant instrumentation including; distributed control systems (DCS), electronic and pneumatic instruments, PLC controllers, fire alarm system, personal security access system, camera system and all other instrumentation. Assists with maintenance of the plant process control systems to assure optimum efficiency, availability and safe

Key Accountabilities
Principal Accountabilities:
- Assists in the installation and maintenance of instrumentation and the plant's distributive control
- Accurately troubleshoots and diagnoses standard issues with process control
- Implements control system improvements that ensure manufacturing, construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications, regulatory safety standards and user requirements.
- Provides automation system design knowledge input including power distribution, equipment specification, and instrumentation
- Reviews control system spare parts inventory as required to cost effectively minimize equipment down-time and assure high plant availability.
- Performs calibrations and monitoring required to minimize equipment downtime
- Performs preventive maintenance on plant instrumentation
- Develops and maintains Preventive and predictive maintenace programs electrical and control systems equipment
- Performs low voltage analog and digital drawing updates
- Being part of the emergency reponse team
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Instrument/Electronic Tech School with Maintenance Electrical License
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Rockwell ControlLogix DCS and Plant PAx HMI software
- Experience with Allen Bradley controls and programs, AC and DC drives and other industrial control components and devices
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical and controls in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of instrumentation, communications, electrical based signals/power, and electrical safety
- Proficient technical skills including ability to utilize electrical meters, calibration devices and other electrical monitoring and troubleshooting tools; ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and drawings
- Familiar with flow meters, RTD's, pressure, Ultrasonic and radar level instruments
