Job Purpose and Impact

The EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Lead ANH India & Sri Lanka will provide strategic leadership and mitigate risks at the sites in collaboration with operations and the business. In this role, you will ensure compliance and conformance to local and federal regulations and company environmental and safety programs. You will also manage change and continuous improvement as transitions occur to the future state and continue to evolve to a higher level of maturity.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with business and operations to build partnerships and effective workforce engagement.
  • Lead the country environmental health and safety organization to be an effective enabler to ensure prevention of serious process safety events.
  • Develop a strategic risk profile for the country through identification of hazards, ranking and risk mitigation.
  • Provide support for implementation of management systems, global and site specific programs including the non operational functions.
  • Create a learning environment and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive change in the new organization structure.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s degree in chemical/environmental engineering 
•    Minimum ten years of EHS experience in multinational companies
•    Other minimum qualifications may apply


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•    Minimum three years of supervisory experience
•    Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety
