Job Purpose and Impact

• We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer who will assists with designing, developing and maintaining software applications and systems. Under close supervision, this job collaborates with cross functional teams to help implement new software features to meet user needs and business goals and upgrade existing software to improve performance and functionality through writing clean, efficient and scalable code and troubleshooting and debugging standard issues. This job also participates in code reviews to maintain high code quality and learn from software engineering team members.

Key Accountabilities

• SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Assists with designing and developing high quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable and efficient codes.
• AUTOMATION: Partners to apply internal software deployment platform, methodologies and tools to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.
• COLLABORATION: Coordinates cross functional team of product managers, designers, architects, and other engineers to help gather requirements and deliver resolutions that meet business needs and deliver cybersecurity goals.
• TESTING & DEBUGGING: Writes and maintains standard unit tests and integration tests, and performs debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software.
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Makes suggestions for improving the software development and deployment processes, and partners to implement the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
• DOCUMENTATION: Maintains comprehensive documentation for software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
• TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Provides technical support and troubleshooting for standard issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.
• Responsible to develop revolutionary customer-centric software and services, including architecting, designing models, user experience, and providing scalable and extendable solutions. 
• Writing high-quality code, participating in code reviews, building stable solutions, and mentoring other team members. Open to work and explore new technologies based on the business problem requirements. 
• Take a hands-on approach in the development of prototypes quickly 
• Collaborate with other developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic 
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use. 
• Closely work with other functions like PM, UI/UX, Frontend developers and QA designers, and system administrators to identify new features 
• Follow engineering standards methodologies towards ensuring performance, reliability, and measurability

Qualifications

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor's / Masters degree in Computer Science or relevant field with minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proven work experience as a JAVA developer, microservice architecture, Database scaling, caching, etc.
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude. 
• Self-motivated attitude, and likes to stay current with new and evolving technologies 
• Hands-on experience with building APIs 
• Good knowledge of DS/Algo, System Design, and design principles 
• Excellent analytical and keen to learn business acumen while developing product 
• Good to know React or any other Frontend framework, basic knowledge of AWS
