Associate Manager
Job Purpose and Impact
The Carrier Support Services Supervisor will lead people, systems and processes to ensure carriers are paid accurately and timely and that all transportation master data is accurate and updated in a timely manner in all systems. In this role, you will ensure compliance with company policies, applicable laws and regulations and proper use of transportation management systems. This role is a working supervisor where you will be expected to manage transactions as well as supervise people.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute end to end freight payable resolution.
- Coordinate processes with business teams and carriers, conduct investigation and root cause analysis, prepare and provide proper documentation and follow up on improvement actions.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise carrier activities to ensure achievement of on-time payment and monitor monthly and quarterly close activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion and meet key performance indicators.
- Provide oversight for data entry and data management and for the collection, organization, analysis measurement, evaluation and reporting of metrics.
- Lead network optimization efforts that impact the functional area.
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Advanced spreadsheet experience
- Experience with integrated ERP, such as SAP, JDE, etc
- Experience working with North America and/or Western Europe teams
- Minimum one year of directly related supervisory work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7-10 years of experience in the freight accounts payable experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance area of study
- Ability to manage a large team. Maintain a collaborating and performing team
- Multi regional exposure
- Experience with enterprise resource planning applications
- Knowledge of root cause analysis processes
- One year of supervisory experience
