Laboratory Supervisor (m/f/d)

Job Purpose and Impact
The Laboratory Supervisor leads a team responsible for developing and monitoring laboratory processes and ensuring the application and maintenance of the quality system and safety conditions. You set goals for the team, conduct employee reviews and the necessary training to ensure laboratory activities. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and approving results generated by the laboratory team and also assessing equipment maintenance needs and inventories of reagents and consumables, as well as organizing and controlling the laboratory budget. As a responsible and reliable team player with a practice-oriented and independent way of working, you are in contact with other departments and are responsible for the release and rejection of finished goods.
Key Accountabilities
- You develop and monitor laboratory processes to ensure a good quality.
- Manage the laboratory's quality management system and track nonconformities
- You will be in close contact with internal departments to ensure information flow with the laboratory team, including the quality and production team, customer service and central, international functions
- You will review processes to ensure compliance and report deviations to management as well as develop and implement corrective action plans
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Fluent in German
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisor experience or experience in leading teams
- Experience in laboratory, food safety, food manufacturing, auditing, regulatory or related areas
- Confident in contact with customers, authorities and certifiers
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures in plants
- Fluent in English
