Eddyville corn processing and manufacturing plant
Located in Eddyville, Iowa, in the heart of the Midwest corn belt, Cargill's Eddyville facility is one of the company's largest and most advanced corn processing campuses. Established in 1985, the site has grown from a wet corn milling operation into a major manufacturing complex spanning approximately 1,500 acres and serving customers across the United States and around the world.
Today, the Eddyville facility processes approximately 90 million bushels of corn annually, transforming them into a broad portfolio of products for the food, feed, industrial, and energy markets. Its production includes starches, sweeteners, dextrose, corn syrup, fuel-grade ethanol, corn oil and feed ingredients, supporting a wide range of customer applications. Employing hundreds of Cargill employees and supporting the local agricultural economy, the site helps convert agricultural raw materials into essential products used by businesses and consumers every day.

Our culture
At Cargill Eddyville, giving back is part of who we are. Each year, our employees contribute approximately 9,000 volunteer hours and support local organizations, schools, healthcare initiatives, food security programs, and community causes throughout south-central Iowa. From fundraising events and volunteer projects to partnerships with organizations like the Food Bank of Iowa and Meals from the Heartland, our team is committed to making a positive impact beyond the workplace.
Our culture is built on connections both at work and in the community. Throughout the year, employees and their families come together for events such as softball and golf tournaments, community 5K races, pancake breakfasts, family outings, Easter egg hunts, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat celebrations, the Santa Experience, movie days, employee recognition lunches, and other activities that help create a welcoming and supportive environment.
“Cargill Eddyville is a large facility with many people and lots of moving parts. You get to see a great deal of processes and the various opportunities at a larger facility. This allows you to gain experience without needing to change locations, which allow for career development at a faster rate.”
Salah O., Reliability Engineer
“It's really exciting to be able to see tangible results when projects are actually built out in the plant, and even more rewarding when the process comes back online and performs as expected. Being able to guide projects through from ideation and design all the way to construction and startup is incredibly fulfilling, especially knowing that the process supports food production and helps feed the world.”
