Dayton Protein Processing Plant

Located in Dayton, Virginia—one of the oldest settled communities in Rockingham County and the county’s second-oldest incorporated town—Cargill is proud to be the fourth-largest employer in the region, with nearly 1,400 associates at our state-of-the-art turkey processing facility.

Our team represents a rich tapestry of cultures, with employees from 42 nations, speaking over 20 languages, and bringing diverse experiences that strengthen our workplace and our community. We partner with more than 700 independent family farms to produce nutritious, safe, and affordable turkey products under trusted brands like Shady Brook Farms and Honeysuckle White.
