Big Lake Protein Processing Plant

Our North American protein business has a diverse 28,000-member team and operates approximately 60 protein primary and further processing facilities, distribution centers, feed mills, hatcheries, and an innovation center in the U.S. and Canada. Our Big Lake facility processes eggs into consumer ready products such as patties, omelets, and other customer-specific needs. The facility underwent a $45 million expansion that was completed in 2019 and increased its production capabilities by 50,000,000 pounds annually while also doubling its production staff. The facility is starting another expansion with the goal of adding another 20,000,000 pounds of capacity by July of 2021.
