Big Lake Protein Processing Plant

Located in Sherburne County, the city of Big Lake, Minnesota is a growing community of over 11,700 residents, known for its small-town charm and natural beauty. Cargill’s Big Lake facility is a key player in the region’s food production industry, specializing in transforming eggs into high-quality, consumer-ready products such as egg patties, omelets, and other customized egg solutions for our customers.

Following a major expansion, the facility increased its production capacity by an impressive 70 million pounds annually, reinforcing its role as a vital hub for egg processing careers in Minnesota.

At Cargill, community engagement is part of our culture. Our Big Lake team proudly supports local conservation efforts by volunteering twice a year to clean and maintain the Big Lake National Wildlife Refuge, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability and giving back.
