This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Embedded within the team of the globally operating company Cargill, Delacon researches, develops, and produces natural feed additives for poultry, pigs, ruminants, and aquaculture at its Engerwitzdorf site (near Linz).
Job Purpose and Impact
The Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of monitoring and verification tasks to ensure that production complies with feed safety programs, policies, and certifications. In this role, you will collaborate across departments to maintain general and regulatory quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct monitoring activities related to feed safety, hygiene, raw materials, and climate control.
- Regularly review and verify production documentation and initiate corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Maintain records related to feed safety and prepare and edit deviation reports as needed.
- Create and manage quality documents such as process descriptions, work instructions, checklists, and forms.
- Perform production walkthroughs to check critical control points and compliance with feed safety standards and written instructions.
- Carry out internal audits across the facility to ensure adherence to all quality standards.
- Communicate deviations to management, ensure proper documentation and resolution, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver hygiene and feed safety training sessions for production staff.
- Provide customer support and address quality-related inquiries, such as issuing statements and declarations, shelf-life extensions, and completing customer questionnaires.
- Play a key role in supplier and raw material management, including handling supplier complaints, conducting supplier evaluations, and overseeing raw material approval processes from a quality perspective.
- Support audit management during certification and supplier audits.
- Contribute to the implementation of the HACCP concept as a liaison with production and as part of the HACCP team.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Completed scientific or technical education (e.g., technical college, university), ideally in food and biotechnology, chemistry, or similar fields, or professional experience in quality management, assurance, or control within the food and feed industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
- Accuracy, reliability and a structured approach to work, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant quality management systems and food/feed standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, IFS, BRC, FAMI-QS).
- Experience with common food safety concepts, including HACCP, hazard analysis, risk management, and familiarity with legal requirements in the food and feed sector.
- Training as an internal auditor, quality management representative (QMR), or similar is an advantage.

For legal reasons, we would like to point out that a basic salary of €2400 gross per month (based on a 38-hour week) is provided for this position. The actual remuneration depends on training, experience and individual skills and can therefore be sgnificantly higher.
