Marshall Protein Processing Plant
Marshall is a small town located in the heart of Missouri between Kansas City and St. Louis. With a population of just over 13,000, the farming community is steeped in history from its charming Victorian homes to the site of the Civil War “Battle of Marshall.” As in times past, the Marshall Municipal Band still performs on the town square Thursday evenings throughout the summer months. With its small town charm, Marshall is an attractive community for families of all ages – the area features safe and friendly neighborhoods, tree-lined streets, a diverse economy, and welcoming people.
Cargill’s Marshall facility was founded in 1972 as a pork harvest facility, transitioning to case ready production in 2001. Employing approximately 620 Cargill team members, the facility provides fresh beef, pork, ground beef and value-added products to some of the largest grocers across the country through private label brands. Cargill Marshall believes in supporting its community, by donating funds and employee volunteer time to various charitable organizations, including Relay for Life, United Way, Shop with a Cop, Pig Out in Pink for breast cancer awareness, Segs4Vets, Whiteman Air Force Base events, Monsanto Farm Safety Education Day, YMCA Strong Kids campaign, and many more! Cargill is well known in the Marshall community for its generous employees who go the extra mile to give back.
