This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Buyer Capex & Parts / Services will support multiple country or multiple business sourcing activities. In this role, you will execute complex procurement tasks to provide inputs to the global category team.
Key Accountabilities
- Negotiate with suppliers’ big packages and manage overall project execution resolving factors and resolving factors that affect factors that affect prices, cost, with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.
- Monitor continuous regional supplier and stakeholder relationships.
- Provide technical expertise in regional spend, stakeholder and procurement landscape.
- Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of noncontracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
- Able to lead or collaborate with category teams.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Capital Buyer.
- Experience with procurement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sourcing systems (Ex Ariba).
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
Position Information
- Relocation will not be provided for this position.
- The expected salary for this position is $68,373.00 This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
- Benefits: Full-Time (30+ hours) positions are eligible for a benefit package including the following (subject to certain collective bargaining agreements for Union positions): Paid time off; paid holidays; medical, vision and dental coverage; flexible spending accounts; life insurance; disability insurance; retirement savings; employee and family assistance program (EAP).
- Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
