Job summary
The Tax Team Manager sets day-to-day operational objectives for collecting, processing and reporting accurate, tax and financial data for the purposes of providing external information for decision making while ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards. This job leads standard operations of the designated end to end finance processes and provides input for the organizational, operational and stakeholder model for the shared services. This job also monitors key performance indicators and metrics and partners to lead specific projects to drive efficiencies.The Tax Team Manager sets day-to-day operational objectives for collecting, processing and reporting accurate, tax and financial data for the purposes of providing external information for decision making while ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards. Essential functions
- Tax activities: Leads the team to deliver standard services, lead an operational tax team delivering tax accounting and financial tax reporting services, partner and align with the process strategy by closely working with the Tax Finance Operations management team, process architects and regional leadership.
- Policy compliance & consistency: Partners to ensure that operational compliance with financial transaction recording standards, including company accounting policies, tax regulations are understood and followed by the team.
- Operational effectiveness: Support an internal control environment within finance and tax law including risk mitigation and the total compliance of all the operations and services according to internal and external regulations.
- Business partnership: Facilitates positive business relationships with key partners with a focus on process maturity collaborating with accounting and finance organization to implement the process strategy.
- Process execution improvement: Monitors operations performance against established service level agreements and metrics, implementing adequate action plans, and partners to lead specific continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence.
- Team management: Manages team members to achieve the organization’s goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications
Minimum
- 2 years or more of relevant experience.
- Advanced English
- Minimum one year of directly related work experience as a supervisor.
- Experience in tax (direct and indirect)
- Experience working with SAP
- Accounting experience in taxes and finance operations work with extensive knowledge in tax and related processes.
Preferred
- Green Belt certification
- Studies or certifications in accounting or finance
- Tax certification
