Process Specialist - Product Costing
Job Purpose and Impact
The Product Costing process specialist oversees the end-to-end Product Costing operations for the Food (NA or EMEA) business. This role is responsible for driving Material ledger close, problem-solving, fostering collaboration with key stakeholders to influence and implement change, monitoring, and analysing key performance indicators and metrics.
Key Accountabilities
- Decision Support: Provide deep-dive analysis on Process Order Variance, Purchase Price Variance, Periodic Unit price, Cost of goods manufactured (COGM).
- Lead the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the SAP CO (Costing) module, covering product cost by Order, monitoring performance against established metrics, developing & implementing appropriate action plans when necessary, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
- Manage assessments and distributions, activity rate calculations, process order settlements, actual costing, and the Material Ledger close.
- Contribute and implement continuous process improvement, including simplifying and optimizing process, improving data integrity, and leveraging current technology.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with MSC, RTR, Controllership and other CFT’s to ensure accurate master data, Process integration. Translate complex operational data into meaningful financial metrics for senior management.
- Lead process improvement projects, Oversee UAT cycles, Project Go-lives, and SAP migrations and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Fully Qualified CMA.
- 5 - 8 Years of total experience and minimum 3 years of Product Costing experience.
- Expert level knowledge of SAP controlling module (CO), strong understanding of Material Ledger and Inventory Valuation.
- Advanced data analytical skills for using spreadsheets, business intelligence tools.
- Experienced leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making.
- Experienced working with multiple businesses or international business experience.
- Shift timings - 12:30 PM to 09:30 PM (flexible to extend during month end)
