Job Purpose and Impact

The Process Engineer II applies process and project engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of manufacturing processes and product quality. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement leadership, manage contractors and utilize project management skills to ensures safe, efficient and low-cost plant operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • •    Review and recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be safe, efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
    •    Evaluate current manufacturing equipment and processes and makes recommendations for improvements.
    •    Review the key performance indicators, monitoring systems and determining ways to improve their ability to maintain company operations.
    •    Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over variables as temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, and viscosity.
    •    Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
    •    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Possesses working knowledge of engineering subject matter
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Certification
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Ability to design and acquire processing equipment for relevant machines or processes
  • Project management aptitude and experience
  • Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
